These games had in my opinion great 6DOF controls.

Now Descent 1&2 have source ports you can use to get them working natively.
I am looking for a way to play IW2 & Tachyon The Fringe working on Kubuntu. If anyone has a workaround or if they work natively with WINE, i will return the favor.

From a quick search, both titles should work in WINE

thank god for software renderers, either it was unreal or quake that had software renderer capability so any machine could play the game

GAME NEEDS AN OPTCAL DRIVE OR A VIRTUAL OPTICAL DRIVE
AN IMAGE DOES NOT NEED TO BE MOUNTED

Also pretty sure it doesn't have a software renderer that's I-War 1
