i jsut reciently upgraded form 2k to win xp. could play warlords 2 in 2k, FAST. everything was fine (no sound tho). now i get on this 64 bit thing, it wont go. then i found this neato dosbox. so i give that a whirl. it runs super slow, so i cranked the speed to 500000 and that was good nuff. but the mouse is wild! so i slowed it back down, can control the mouse left and right, but up and down is way slow. game play takes forever also.
i need some help getting speed and mouse right...i dont care about having any sound, i can get winamp going in the background
i love that game, that and ascendancy. anyway, someone please help with the lack of mouse control.

core=dynamic
cycles=max
Both in your dosbox.conf.

What wd said...
Also which version of DOSBox? The settings wd suggested are the defaults in 0.72, so you are either using an old version of DOSBox, or have messed with the settings.

Select some soundblaster in the installer, use irq=7 and dma=1 (addr 220).
For the music try general midi, roland, or soundblaster.

hah, i really ment i needed my soundcard, ordered it, jsut isnt here yet. turd beach screwed me over, the 32 bit drivers wont work on this card (64 bit system)

umm, is there a way to auto mount stuff, so i dont have to type it every time, i think jsut putting it in the conf file, but then again, that would prolly screw stuff up

😀 I see.

Look at the [autoexec] section of your dosbox.conf, put the commands
in there. It's nicely described in the readme btw.
