Bought a 286 motherboard (model: Auva Computer/Autocomputer (Headland/G2 GC101/GC102)) which had a leaking Varta battery. Removed it of course and cleaned it. There is no damage fortunately and works fine but now I want to use the external battery connector.

Problem is that I can't find a manual for it so don't know how to enable the external battery. I could find the motherboard on the Retro Web (https://theretroweb.com/motherboards/s/auva-c … -g2-gc101-gc102) but no manual unfortunately.

Anyone has the manual? Or is no jumper needed for this motherboard to disable the internal battery and enable the external battery?

And all the jumpers on the motherboard. Can't place JP22 and JNP. Anyone know what they are for?

Pin 1 and 2 on lock are for power LED.. The rest of those three headers are for keylock (that thing on the case to disable the keyboard from working.

SPK stands for speaker or PC speaker. (that whole 4 pin block is for pc speaker internal)

LED could be for turbo led.

J25 Turbo is for turbo switch.

JP2 W.S could be for wait state.. (could by 1-2 = 0 wait / 2-3 = 1 wait.)

J30 Reset is for Reset button on your PC case.

JP22 i dont know.

J24 = external battery.

~ At least it can do black and white~

Thanks. LED is indeed for the turbo LED the rest is correct as well. The only ones that are unknown atm are JP22 and JNP. But I guess JNP is for NPU synchronous/asynchronous mode.

But most importantly I would like to know from the hardware gurus if the external battery is working as is or that I need to set a jumper (JP22?). Don't want to blow something up. 😀

I connected 3*AA batteries on the external battery connector and it seems to work fine. I used a multimeter on the positive leg when the system was turned on and it only measured 0.4V so I guess it's ok. If not please let me know.
