Looking for a proper PC speaker like the following to hear those classic PC speaker sounds from old games (Commander Keen etc).

Instead when I search eBay I can only find these rubbish ones.

I did find one that had “heavy duty” in the name but it cost way more than I’m willing to spend.

Is there another search term I should be using to find classic PC speakers?

8 ohms, 0.5w paper cone speaker ? Old cassette recorders and pocket radios had them inside, too, I believe.

Back in the day, a store like Radio Shack had them.

Yeah good luck with that one buddy!
Ive been looking on ebay on and off for a year or more for a proper speaker. The best I came up with so far is the case speaker from an HP Pro 6300 SFF desktop I decomisioned a while back when the PSU went pop.
Mapliin Electronics used to do stuff like that but no longer.
I guess an 80s bedside clock radio might have a speaker that is of the same rating but thats a guess.

Being from Australia I thought you would have just visited your nearest Jaycar store.

I can’t believe I didn’t think of Jaycar. Wow. I’m actually going there tomorrow to buy components to build a Voltage Blaster 🤣
