Hello,

I'm trying to test an S3 Virge DX card in an old PC.

The PC has onboard graphics (some 1MB Cirrus chip) which I get a picture out of, but I can't seem to get a picture at all when the VGA cable is connected to the S3 PCI card.

Is there something I need to do first? Or does it sound like it's dead?

I'm fairly sure other cards worked by just dropping them in.

BIOS might have an option for disabling the onboard chip.

False alarm, sorry!
Tried a different PCI slot and worked fine after that.
