Hello Everyone

I'm new here. Glad to find this wonderful place about the old stuff.

My target platform is a T2P4 with K6-2 400. The BIOS is 0207 from ASUS official website.

I use a wireless USB keyboard during the POST procedure and BIOS settings. But after the POST, it can't boot normally. It goes to POST again and again.

If I unplug the USB keyboard and use a PS/2 keyboard, it can boot normally.

Then I did some research with my devices on this T2P4:

With a wireless USB keyboard (Logitech) -> Can't boot normally with or without other PCI devices
With a wired USB keyboard (Lenovo OEM) -> Can't boot normally with an SATA PCI controller plugged
With a wired USB keyboard (Lenovo OEM) -> Can boot normally without an SATA PCI contoller, only S3 graphic card
With a PS/2 keyboard -> Can boot normally, everything is fine.

I'm wondering if anyone expirenced the same situation or have a solution it.

Thanks a lot!

I have one of those with a K6-3+ @500 and a SATA controller, but I've never tried a USB keyboard with it. It sounds as though there is a resource conflict - have you disabled the serial and parallel ports? If you aren't using them, disabling them may free up the IRQ and/or I/O address that you need to make everything work.

After watching many YouTube videos about older computer hardware, YouTube began recommending videos about trains - are they trying to tell me something?
