Looks like there are several versions of this project, which was created by Dan Richardson.

This appears to be the initial release, with date stamps from Oct 4, 2001. It seems like the the same version was available from the author's website as v1.0.

A newer version of Dan Richardson's site indicates that he released a later version 2.0, dated 25 April 2002 according to the news section. This version has not been preserved, unfortunately, but the other version I linked to in the quote above was uploaded to DIV Arena on 5 March 2002, and marked as the "final demo", suggesting that it should be quite close to this version 2.0.

It also appears that Dan Richardson's efforts to recreate Jet Set Willy II did not stop there, because I've found a later Windows recreation of the same game in Blitz Basic, found here. It was originally available from Dan Richardson's web page (archived by the Wayback Machine).

Recently I found several more unofficial DOS conversions/remakes via the Wayback Machine.

WinTank/Battle City -- a more or less straightforward remake of the NES version of Battle City. A Windows version by the same author is available here (mirror site with the download preserved).

Tank Wars -- another Battle City clone, this one uses its on graphics (but similar to the NES version) and custom levels.

Supertanks -- another game inspired by Battle City, it runs in a high-resolution mode that has issues with default DOSBox video settings, as it seems. Haven't tested it further yet.

Puyo PC Remix -- a remake of Puyo Puyo. I think it uses at least some of the original game's sprites.

PolloPollo! -- another Puyo Puyo inspired game, this one uses its on graphics.

There's another Puyo Puyo inspired game for DOS called Eyed Balls, but I've been unable to install it so far.
