So I got this old Audigy 2 ZS and its platinum drive. It didn't come with its IDE cable, so I got one somewhere else and lined up the pins (red wire on the side of the SPDIF). I learned I could do that from forum posts on here

Issue is I can't seem to get any audio out of the drive. I CAN get audio out of the speakers, mind you.

I don't know if the drive is supposed to come up in windows or not. Drivers and software installed fine but, again, I don't know if I should look out for any Drive specific things.

Any knowledge that anyone has that could help?

Windows 7 machine, second Windows XP SP3.
Xeon x5680, Quadro 5000, 12GB RAM, if it helps.

to use the IDE cable with the live drive!, you need the 40 pin not the later 80 pin cable
for the drive, i don't think there are any driver to install, you may need to select the correct output but my memory is not that great so ymmv

You need to hook up the Molex power too.
Straight 40 pin IDE ribbon works.
You can buy on eBay.
Hook up the red line with #1 on drive or little triangle
You also need the Black cable for FireWire but might not be needed for basic functions.

In Win-10 or Win-11
You can use the driver from Audigy RX for win-10
Unzip package and use the Universal Win-10 driver.
