Hi Folks,

it seems like my Epox EP-MVP3G5 died on me when firing it up.
It won't show a POST-screen and when plugging in a debug-card the POST hangs at code 43 which seems to be related to shadow ram from what I could find Out so far.
The error is easily repeatable and occurs using different processors and/or ram.
I can't quite grasp it but do I understand it correct that one of the cache-chips is fried?
What I couldn't try yet is reflashing the BIOS since I wasn't able to find a correct BIOS-dump.

Any help would be very much apreciated.

These Epox MVP3 Gx usually die due to defective electrolytics. They were made during the "capacitor plague" and it´s remarkable if some are still running today.
You need to replace all the taller electrolytics (around 10 of them, 1000µF / 1500µF) in the VRM section besides the CPU socket and three more near the Lithium battery.
