i don't know if i'm just taking myself around in circles or if i'm way over my head, but i've tried just about everything to get my sound card to work in dos/windows 3.11 and i keep getting this error for which i've found absolutely no information on how to fix
i might just be attempting this with the wrong hardware, the wrong configurations, or just the wrong everything, but i'm at the end of my rope and i need help

specs:
fic va-503 board w/ amd k6-233 and usb 2.0 riser card
128mb ram
ms-dos 6.22/windows for workgroups 3.11 on 10.2gb hdd
nvidia riva 128 (generic vga drivers used)
es1370 pci sound card
linksys nc100 pci fast ethernet card
supraexpress 56i voice isa modem card

will post more info upon request

I think "badprogramnolikeruntoofast" would have gone through my head straight away and I would have rebooted, turned off the L2 cache in setup and tried installing again... hoping it would work right after another reboot and re-enabling it.

Unicorn herding operations are proceeding, but all the totes of hens teeth and barrels of rocking horse poop give them plenty of hiding spots.

There was an x87 FPU patch made available to Windows 3.1x a long time ago (Q86869, WW0548.EXE).
Not sure if it has an effect here, though.
