That's what I did 😀

Is there any way to get cd audio support in vquake2 with windows 10/11?I seem to recall it stopped working after win2k/xp (digital cd audio).

It worked with DxWnd the last time I checked RReady

btw - you have to calibrate your joystick:
first in windows
and also in dos which means in the game

In game the pad calibration varies between - 12 and 3xx in did mode and swings between - 3xx and 3xx xinput mode.

Maybe my pad's on the fritz.

it works without it as well. Not sure how the pause, play, functions work out natively

It must be because I remapped the drive letter. Thanks @Been_Nath.

@Raven-05 when the power comes back, if it's not too much of a hassle, can you post a video of ICR 2 crashing or running into into the barriers on the Australia track? I need to see what the dust/impact particles are supposed to look like.

Daily update:

Not a lot of progress, but it's very stable now (no more V_FIFO_MEM_WRITE_SPRITE stability issues). Some keyboard sequences do produce hang in the rendering.

@robert and @Raven) were suggesting I embed redline.dll and verite.dll as required components of dosbox.

How about making it like glide2x.dll
dosbox only looks for glide2x.dll when you start a game in glide mode
But you can use dosbox without it in any non glide games and even with glide games but in software mode.

how about making it to render to dosbox window in a free version with logo. and only the paid version through a pipeline?
this would allow easier distinguish all the problems related to pipelines and problems not pipelines related

I could always build a software renderer that's open source with minimal maintenance. I think I could do it fairly quickly to just support the dos apps. Or at least the named pipe client, which I was already planning to release as a public domain app. Redline and verite are proprietary, but I do think they can be considered system libraries.

But first I need to get RReady going with Dos.
