I have no mouse currently (and for th next time) but working with "keyboard-only" in Windows 2000 works better than expected (I'm already used to it).

There is a problem with DosBox 'though:

When starting dosbox, it complaints for about 0,1 seconds, that it couldn't intialize DirectInput and shuts down immideately (it was working with a mouse back then)

How do I fix this problem? (until I get a new mouse)

I think sdl requires the mouse.

I remember a DOS program called Fake Mouse or a kind like that, I wonder if there's anything like that for Windows as well...

Isn't too useful if dosbox doesn't start up i guess.

Try setting SDL_VIDEODRIVER=windib and see if that gives
a different error message.
