There are a few youtube videos about voodoo2 on new OS and HW. But there are no voodoo1 cards in modern rigs.

So i decided to try my old voodoo1 card on modern systems.

First for the minimal compatiblity issuses i dont use a pcie-to-pci adapter (yet) so i prepared my Asrock H77 motherboard native pci with a Xeon 1220v2 (ivy bridge i5), 16gb ram, HD6570 without drivers so no acceleration. 256Gb SSD, windows 11 latest update. Belinea 19" 1280x1024 tft. Windows 11 is updated and installed in pure UEFI mode but disabled the secure boot.

I installed the last experimental voodoo1 x64 drivers, it is for XP x64 based on Winsrv2003 x64 so it is fully comatible with any x64 windows. (from Windows8 WDDM driver is required but just for the GUI 2D/3D video cards, luckly voodoo1 and 2 is not a video card for windows gui so i can use the old drivers) I removed the signed driver depedency in safe mode.
For the maxiumum compatiblity i use 640x480 16 bit on the compatiblity tab. Unreal Gold glide mode. Driver files copyed to the game system folder.
I use the pass through cable.

There is a bug with this driver or a hw issue, V1 card simply not working with fast cpus.

First full speed 3400mhz, games not recoginsing the card. Very sad.

I reduced the clock speed to the lowest in the bios 1600mhz, finaly some success. At least the voodoo card is starting, but i got this screen:

Num lock working, not freezed, no bsod just this screen. Disconected the pass cable to check the card, and the card is trying to produce something at least and the glide games are starting but with theese screen.

So is there a way to fix this high mhz cpu bug? use somekind of throtling? quickcpu or is ther a patch for this?
This project is for fun only, i have a lot of old pc-s to play glide games. I just want to prove that windows 11 is also capable to use glide api games without any emulator.
