So I bought a machine and the seller didn't support the cpu well enough.
It was sold as parts and non-working.
The cpu cooler (aftermarket) broke loose during shipping from Germany to Finland.
There was some white corrosion on the edge-connector, but I got that cleaned.
No post (just -- -- on the analyzer).
No visible damage, but I didn't have time to take a look under the microscope. The die seemed ok as well.
Trying to boot without the cooler one try might get the core to heat up a bit, and another with no reaction on the thermal cam.
What are my options? Nothing to loose actually - I just might try a complete reflow. Just need to bake it first to avoid popcorning
Also, are these plastic bits available from anywhere?
