I hope there's no existing thread regarding this game. I used the Search engine and see there's no thread which relates to I. M. Meen. So I create one instead.

The problem goes like this, when I try to start the game, it says you need to install first. After I install by starting Dosbox version 0.72 to start install.exe . After I adjust the problem, still using Dosbox, the game starts but with purely no sound and music. But there's another catch, if you start the game manually (Without using Dosbox) with double clicking, the game finally works but with only the sound but no music. There are 2 files to play the game, either immeen.exe or meen.bat , but I tried both Dosbox and manually (which total of 4 ways) on the 2 programs, they produce the same results. 🙁

--------

Before and after the problem starts, here's what I set and the following drivers available in the installation.

MIDI music : Creative Labs Sound Blaster or 100% compatible
Digital audio : Creative Labs Sound Blaster or 100% compatible

Both seems to detect the drivers, but the following drivers I got are :

(My sound problem is fix, so I don't need to list down the sound drivers, so I'm listing down for the MIDI music)

Ensoniq SoundScape (TM) General MIDI
Creative Labs AWE-32 (TM) General MIDI
Creative Labs Sound Blaster or 100% compatible
Creative Labs Sound Blaster (TM) 16
Creative Labs Sound Blaster Pro (New version)
Creative Labs Sound Blaster Pro (Old version)
Media Vision Pro Audio Spectrum (Old version)
Media Vision Pro Audio Spectrum (-Plus or -16)

After selecting a driver, the following options are :

Attempt to configure sound driver automatically
Skip auto-detection and configure sound driver manually
Select a different sound driver

I tried using both automatic and manually, it all don't work. When I was doing it manually, my I/O Address is 220 H. I don't know what is this I/O address, so I just leave it alone to 220 H instead.

So far, nothing seems to work, with Dosbox, it shows no sound and music. But with old fashion double clicking to start, only the sound is played but no music is played. I've seen run into a dead end, can anyone help?

60 Seconds Guide to DOSBox.

If that doesn't help, come back with details on how you mounted your C and D drives, how you did the install, how you configured sound, music etc.

And please don't double-post. I have removed your other thread.

I'm sorry for that, my eyesight have a problem of looking at small objects including the delete button, if there is one. I just don't know where to post my problem until I found it. Thanks for clearing the other thread.

Now I'll try to get that problem working first. And let's see how it goes. 😉

EDIT : Thanks, I manage to get both the audio and music to work. Just hopefully it'll continue to run well without any crashes or glitches. 😀

The delete-button is really, really small here: dele.png

It is on the row above each post (where you found the edit-button I guess).
