Was setting up my home file/media server today and noticed that DosBox 0.72 was available for FreeBSD 7 RC1.

All I had to do was a "pkg_add -r DosBox" and DosBox 0.72 was installed and ready to go!

😀

Hopefully the rest of my drives show up next week and I'll have 4 terabytes of file storage goodness.

It takes FreeBSD that long to recognize drives? 😀

nah, but it does seem to recognize my hardware RAID 1 as two seperate drives when I boot into FreeBSD. Guess I have to configure FreeBSD to recognize the RAID. Odd since you'd think hardware would be transparent to the OS.... I've heard of this issue before but never experienced it.

Not all RAID controllers are created equal. Some are actually mostly software-driven, so a generic IDE driver sees two drives since it doesn't know about the special capabilities of the controller.
