Most people use theFastVoodoo drivers, note they do overclock the cards slightly. I've never seen anyone say this has caused issues but you may want to downclock back to original speeds if your cautious like me.

I don't think much of a difference ever existed between different card manufacturers. go with whichever works best in your system.

Yup you can use whatever drivers you want, the only thing that matters for V2 SLI is that both cards have the same amount of Vram either both have 12 or 8. I think the only cards that might have issues are the 3rd party ones that didn't use reference designs like some of the Obsidian custom ones.

Official drivers don't support mismatched SLI, meaning that you have to use third-party ones such FastVoodoo2 (which overclocks the Voodoo2 to 93 MHz like chinny22 said and comes with some questionable tweaks) for this.

As for which cards, it depends on the build quality in this case.

So mismatched Sli doesn't work with a 12MB and an 8MB card? I'm sure I've read something about it that it can work and both cards then run as 8MB?

Thats correct, so you loose any benefit of the 12MB card if paired with a 8MB card
