What is this Terratec ESS soundcard and it's value?

Hello, long time lurker here.

I got this soundcard from a DJ somewhere between 2004 and 2007 for some work I was doing for him. I remember him telling me how amazing and good it is. I think it supported some low latency ASIO drivers, which was very important for him. Potentially I want to sell it. It's just collecting dust here.
I'm not an expert on soundcards. I'd like to test it in one of my old computers. So I've got a couple of questions:

  • What's the exact model of this card?
  • What's the estimated value in Euros?
  • Where can I find the latest drivers? Which operating systems are supported by the available driver?

It comes with an extension-card that uses an additional slot and has optical connectors.

Interesting, looks like ESS did a die-shrink of this Canyon3D chip: https://www.anandtech.com/show/460/4

I must be some kind of standard: the anonymous gangbanger of the 21st century.

Thanks for digging up more info!

Searched for sold "ESS Canyon" articles on ebay - the only thing that comes up is a "Diamond Monster Sound MX400 PCI Soundkarte (ESS Canyon3D, ES1970S, retro, 1999)" with a B399- or B389-chip. Hard to read.
The PCB traces on that one look sketchy. Possibly corroded. It seems to have the same/similar extension connector, but it was only for the "main" card. It sold 'tested and working' for 125€ on 24.May.2024.

My card has these version numbers: "DMX VER1.1" on front, "version 1.1" on back and the chip read "ESS Canyon3D ES1970M-3D A129 TTV28567V"
Based on the very few hints I have and it's good condition I'd value it at 150€ right now. Trying to find more info...

The value is what someone will actually pay. If you put it up for 400€ and no one buys it in 3 month, then you know that it isn't worth that much. If someone buys it, you know it was worth at least that much.
