Hi

I'm trying to make a dual boot retro system (w95 and w98se), and you guys told me that in order to avoid 98 install breaking 95 boot and partition, I must hide w95 partition to make 98 think that their partition is the only and one C partition on the disk. After that, with some steps that I still don't know, I must make the dual boot.

Well, I'm trying to hide w95 partition with Partition Magic 4.0 under DOS, as I read here, but I cant, it says "partition table error #105 found" and dont let me do anything.

Some important points:

- I'm using a SSD with a IDE to SATA adapter. It works because I can install W95 and even activate DMA.
- Partitions where created as mbr disk under widnows 10. I need to do that because I create a third partition for DATA with the install folders necessary to avoid CD and with the drivers and software etc... so I connected it to a W10 machine and create the MBR partitions in FAT32 and copyied all the necessary content to E partition.
- Dhe SSD is 256 gb.

Maybe something here can make the disk incompatible with Partition Magic 4?

Anything different from partition magic that can work? Maybe is possible to hide the disk using fdisk?

8.0 is not MSDOS, and a guy here told me that I need to execute it on MSDOS to be able to hide windows 95 partition and start windows 98 install thinking that their D partition is C, avoiding corrupting W95 install folders

8.05 for DOS on my home server.

Please remove the link or the mods will do it for you.

Right to repair is fundamental. You own it, you're allowed to fix it.

Hi, how can I hide C w95 partition and make w98 think that the D partition is his C? to avoid the install breaking w95 installation. After that, I need that each OS only see their own partition and data partition, not the other windows partition. And install a boot selector.

Simple change FAT16 or FAT32 to Hidden FAT16/32

Select the partition you want to hide, insert key, and select hidden fat16 or 32, then select the partition you want to boot, and press B to add boot flag. Ranish part have a simple boot selector if you want too, just select MBR, and with sace key change to boot manager, next time you boot, you need to press 1..4 to select boot partition
