Might it be possible to connect a Roland LAPC-I to a modern PC (Linux and/or Windows 10/11) such that DOS games will play through it in ScummVM or PCem?
The LAPC-I would be externally powered and its audio connected via the MCB-1 to a USB-to-MIDI adapter, as in this video: Using an old 8 bit ISA sound card (Roland LAPC-I) without a PC
If this is feasible in any way, to benefit everyone (all one or two of you 😉) who may also be interested but lack the know-how, please provide detailed instructions.
Discussed previously ("External ISA slots via USB"), please provide results on attempting this with a USB2ISA-R.
I'm aware of and not looking for alternatives, such as getting an MT-32 or CM-32L, settling with emulation (ScummVM, Munt, MiSTer MT32-PI), or giving up and using an old PC.
