There is an IBM ServeRAID-8i controller, also known as Adaptec ASR-4005SAS/256 Zero Channel RAID controller (256MB RAM, BBU 13N2256, PCI-X), p/n: 25R8115, FRU: 39R8731.
It is clear that this is a Zero Channel, however, two facts are confusing - the presence of some kind of 20-pin IDC-type connector, and the presence of space for some kind of unsoldered 40-pin connector on the reverse side.
Maybe it's not that Zero after all.
I couldn’t find any information (or even mention of such a model) on this controller on a bunch of Adaptec and post-Adaptec sites. It's similar to the 4000, but it doesn't have any connectors at all, and it's older.
Drivers for all OS, incl. Windows x64, and IBM CDs with documentation and software/firmware are already found. Unfortunately, there is not a word about these connectors in the descriptions from IBM.
I'm looking for any information about what kind of connectors these might be and their pinout.
