this has been a little annoying going from old builds of PCem to 86box. but the mouse isnt all that smooth and jerky as if there was the concept of frameskip,

Machine specs set in 86box: (and yes mouse is set to standard PS/2 Mouse.)

It might be a sampling rate issue with your mouse/mouse driver.

Use something like ps2rate or Microsoft IntelliMouse, because by default, BIOS'es and old drivers set the PS/2 mouse rate to something like 40 Hz.
