Running the disk set on a different hardware works but is a bit tricky.
DOS Plus 1.x doesn't seem to like IDE controllers, for example.

I've written down my discoveries here:
How to install DOS Plus (PC1512 version) ?

That being said, Amstrad/Schneider's MS-DOS and GEM work fine on generic XTs.

The old GEM Desktop 1 and the GEM applications can be used with GEM 2 and 3, as well.

PS: I recommend renaming the title a bit (remove "download" maybe) because any thread about abandonware isn't exactly, um, welcome. 😥

Cliff Lawson has these files for download on his website. He explains how to do this - you need to transfer the ZIP files to your Windows 3.1 PC and then use FDCOPY.COM to write the CFI images to floppy disk. This is for the bootable disks. The others are just ZIP archives of files and directories that you can copy directly to floppy.

ETA: Beware that 5.25" DD disks written on a HD drive (which I assume is what your Windows machine has) will not work in an original Amstrad PC with DD drives.

Is this too much voodoo?
