Heyyyyyyo,
I have a Dell Dimension L1000R running Windows 98 SE. It's got a PCI 128 (CT4810) card and whenever I plug in the cd audio cord to the cd in slot on the card, the pc won't boot up and gives 3 beeps in quick succession then 2 beeps. When I take the connector out of the card everything works. This sucks for games like Hexen and Quake that use cd music. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

First thing I'd check is the CD audio headers have the same pinout. I mean, I'd be shocked if that actually caused a computer to fail to POST, but who knows.
