Hello guys,

I built a system and i am struggling to get my disk to show up outside of BIOS. The motherboard is the ASUS P2B Rev 1.10 with newest BIOS afaik 1014 003 Beta.

When i enter BIOS to run IDE HDD AUTO DETECTION i select option 2 LBA

Then it hangs for a while on POST (2-3min) and goes to next screen where it reports wrong size.

And spits out this error "No fixed disks present" if i try to run FDISK

Any ideas what to do next to get the disk to show up so i can make a partition? And or solve the size issue?

Tried to change the size of it in BIOS but didn't help so just gonna write it off as this motherboard can't do 120GB disk with newest BIOS even when limited in BIOS. Slapped in SD to IDE adapter with 32GB SD card and good to go.

"CHS, Mode 0" sounds like trouble. Try to set pio 4 and no udma in bios and see what happens.
