I'm trying to flash my second 6800 with the bios I backuped from my first one since I can't enable SLI for some reason.
I'm getting an issue in nvflash if board mismatch though, so I either:

Find a way to force sli in winXP

Get nvflash 4.42 (help?) and use specific commands to force the firmware update.

Or pull some arcane move that will somehow solve the issue thanks to me being able to read the heart of the cards, graphic cards in this case.

Which 6800? There were three chips on PCIe. NV41, NV42 and NV45.

I must be some kind of standard: the anonymous gangbanger of the 21st century.

6800 PCe 256mb it's the standard 6800, not GT, GS, Ultra etc.
The other one is identical, only difference is the vendor, nvidia instead of xfx.

Is it a modified Quadro card or did you by any chance grab a Quadro BIOS by accident? I had that issue when turning two FX3400 cards into 6800GTs. The BIOSes look identical but the Quadro ones are not able to do SLI, even though it says "6800 series GPU" and everything.

It's legit 6800, the driver in windows even tells me when I have a single card that the card Is sli enabled.

Which drivers are you on? I tested 197.45 and 280.xx to definitely work with 6800GT cards in SLI on XP.

I'm working off-site right now so I can't check but it's 66 something, I want to keep the drivers also period correct, max early 2005.
Sli is an option, the second card is seen as incompatibile for sli.
