Hi!

I'm having problems with a game called "Motocross Stunt Racer" developed by Digital Concepts in 2002.

This game uses DirectX 8 and no matter what settings I put in dgVoodoo 2 I can't get it to display correctly.

Here is an example:

The attachment Untitled 2.jpg is no longer available

Also the screen is as if it were all compressed, it looks like it is reduced.

I added an image of how it should look correctly, I had forgotten to add it previously:

The attachment motocross-stunt-racer-menu.jpg is no longer available

Most likely the same problem as in

- Barbie Explorer (video rendering)
Re: End of Twilight (2001) and Barbie Explorer (2002) don't start with dgVoodoo2

- Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron Forever Free
Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron Forever Free

- and another one that I can't remember

So, since it's a corruption caused by the OS itself (with DX8 games requiring 16 bit color mode), and the layer causing it cannot be disabled (at least, I couldn't figure it out how), the only solution is to patch the affected games.
If that's possible at all, but that's another story.

You can try disabling 16 bit display modes in dgVoodoo but I doubt it will help because the game probably uses 16 bit mode because it cannot do 32 bit.

Hi Dege, thank you very much for your reply.

I understand, is the operating system that causes this problem (I'm using Windows 10), I thought it was a problem with dgVoodoo 2.

No problem, I would have to try using a virtual machine with Windows XP.

Thank you again!

Last I checked it's because windows is applying built-in compatibility settings to the game.

One workaround to circumvent them is renaming the game's exe file.
