I'm curious...

I have an Athlon XP 2400+ (2Ghz/266FSB) and a Gainward Geforce 4 Ti 4200. What would be the bottleneck here (if any)

Windows 98: AMD Athlon XP 2400|512MB RAM|QDI 7X/400|Geforce 4 Ti 4200|Sound Blaster Live!
DOS: Pentium 100|32MB RAM|8GB CF|Sound Blaster AWE64
Monitor: Benq 1554e 15" CRT shared via KVM

Are you referring to the build in this thread? Re: My retro gaming rig finally complete

If so, I'd say neither. The bottleneck is the OS. An Athlon XP and a GeForce4 will cover the Windows 9x era of games with performance to spare.

Pentium 4 Multi-OS Build
486 DX4-100 with 6 sound cards
486 DX-33 with 5 sound cards

You can go up to Geforce 6 (6800) in AGP 8x... Some are 512MB instead of 256MB.

You can run Doom 3 max settings better with 512MB, and at 1080p. Otherwise Medium looks pretty much the same.
