I am building a 386 MB replica.

As seen on the photo - right above R11, the 32.768 Khz Tuning Fork I bought is about half the length and diameter of what the Motherboard expects. Does it matter? Will my RTC still work as normal?

In my experience, 32.768kHz crystals only come in one size. You haven't left the leads too long, so I wouldn't expect any issues.

Physical size doesn't matter but what does is the load capacitance figure, which is crystal dependent. Wrong external capacitors in the oscillator circuit will result in slightly off time keeping or at worst no oscillation at all.

Ok thanks. If I do end up having issues, it wouldn't be a big deal if I end up with wrong date & time anyway.
