Need help to start an old game

I looked at the intro and did everything as far as I could but something is missing.
Since I can't start Homeworld Cataclysm. I have it as a CD and also as an ISO. I also installed it on the PC.
I have a
WINDOWS 11 PC
13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-13900KS 3.20 GHz
and Nividia RTX 4070

I used this tutorial but somehow... it doesn't work. Can someone tell me where I'm going wrong? Or what I need to do????????

Why are so many people trying to run Windows games in Dosbox?

Well... dosbox ...'could' run it.... IF you:

1) create a hard disk image
2) install win9x on it
3) tell dosbox to boot it
4) install cataclysm there
5) suffer how unholy bad that experience would be

It's simply much better to feed it dgvoodoo2, and run it on(modern) windows that way.

The securom protection will have to be circumvented. Vogons rules forbid our telling the OP how to do that, so I will only assert it must be done, because modern windows does not permit the chicanery that securom does, for security reasons.

Or, they can build an XP machine! We CAN help with that!

XP sounds more tempting.

Can it be used as a second operating system alongside WIN 11 Pro?

So what if I just make a second partition?

You don't need XP. Cataclysm still works in modern Windows.
