I have accumulated many synthesizers over the years, some with power supplies and some without. However, I have no idea which power supplies go with which synthesizer.
I have the following Roland synthesizers:
MT-32 (old)
CM-32L
SC-7
SC-55
SC-55mkII
SC-55ST
SC-88VL
SC-88ST Pro
I have the following power supplies:
ACI-120J (9V @ 1A)
ACI-100C (9V @ 1A)
ACM-120 (9V @ 300mA)
ACB-120 (9V @ 1.2A)
The 300mA one probably came with an SC-7. I think that 9W is enough for the SC-55s. I have some random power brick that is 9V @ 650mA that works fine with the SC-88, but I know is not enough for the MT-32.
I think that 9V @ 1A is sufficient for most of these, but I'm not sure what the 9V @ 1.2A power supply came with. My guess is that it's for the MT-32.
Does anyone know what the original pairing is for th SE as well?
The original Roland power supplies were all giant passive transformers. Would there be any risk of introducing noise if I replace all of these with smaller switching power supplies from eBay?
