So this is a jet fighter game from Innerloop Studios (they also used this game engine for IGI 1 and 2), it uses Glide 2 for the hardware-accelerated renderer, and that's the one I'm using. However, when the "Terrain Objects" graphical option is anything different from minimum, the game lags way too much to almost single digits when looking at the ground, making it unplayable. Is there any solution for it?

Did you install the latest patch 1.12? Among others the readme says

This new executable enables Voodoo 2 support. The previous version
was NOT compatible due to a conflict with triple buffering.

kind regards

Yeah, I already had that patch installed when I tested it (it's just a newer EXE anyway).

I think I know what might be happening here as I've managed to replicate it.

Is your display scaling in Windows set to anything other than 100% ?

I think this might be causing your low frame rate issue as I experienced the same at 150% scaling, frame rates were in single figures.

Set it back to 100% and the frame rates went back to normal.
