Hi Guys,

I have a weird issue when installing the Aliide34 IDE Busmaster Drivers on my Asus P5A-B. When installing the drives, I get multiple CD Drives with individual letters. I only have a single LG DVD drive on the Secondary Channel and a 80gig Hard Disk on the Primarry. If i remove the drivers then it goes back to a single drive.

Has anyone experience this behaviour with the Busmaster Drivers? Am I missing something? Any help would be appreciated.

Has anyone experience this issue before? I've just swapped the motherboard for my SS7 system to an Iwill XA100 Plus, and i've also switch the DVD drive to a Toshiba. I've installed the IDE Bus Master Drivers and still am experiencing the same behaviour. Multiple DVD drives even thought there is only One drive installed.

I can't figure out where i'm going wrong. Anyone got any clue?

I fired up this machine today as it's been a while to find this was still an issue I had forgot about! Has any Ali V owners experienced this behaviour? If so how to you resolve it?

Just feeling like bumping this since its been a year since the last bump ALI/Aladdin chipsets do not work well with LG branded drives. I just swapped from a nice LG drive to a NEC and it stopped the issues. Windows would also corrupt a lot to when playing CD's with my bored and the LG DVD drive I was using. Took me a few months to figure this one out until I saw an old post. Its just the disc drive brand you are using.[
