Hi I recently got a GA-6BXC that was unused new in box.
However once installed into my ATX desktop case. It won’t POST, on power up there’s 1 Long and 2 short beeps… then a pause then continuous beeping.

No matter what CPU I tried, first I tried my target build CPU which is the VIA C3 Nehemiah 1.2GHz with an Abit SloKET!!!
I then switched to a P3 Coppermine 700MHz, still no go.
Finally I pulled a PII 333 from a working system to try it, no go. With these I did change the jumper settings to set them to appropriate settings.

I have PC133 RAM, Vooodoo3 and a AWE32, I unconnected everything except for the video, ram,cpu.

Initially the case had a ATX 2.0 power supply with a 24pin connector the system wouldn’t even power on.
I pulled a 250watt ATX supply and connected it, this when I discovered no POST and only beeps.

Visually the board is perfect and came in a full box with all unopened items etc.
Any assistance appreciated.

One long and two short beeps means there's an issue with the graphics card. Try cleaning the AGP slot with the contact cleaner.

Thanks for suggestions. I removed the AGP card and tried a PCI video card. Now all the beeps are gone, but there is no POST, monitor powers on and is blank, keyboard lights blink on power up.
Another strange thing is the cpu fan flickers in the beginning but doesn’t spin.. this has been happening from when I switched to the 20pin PSU..

Is this board a DOA 😞

Don't give up yet.

There are numerous things you can try.
-Check for shorts
-Reflash bios (get a programmer)
-Check RTC crystal
-Check capacitors
-Try a POST diagnostics card, maybe you get a helpful reading

CR2032 is fresh/full enough I presume?

I replaced the CR2032 same issue. Capacitors look good/new.
are you able to point to resources on how to do the following please, and which BIOS chip reprogrammer will work with this board?
-Check for shorts
-Reflash bios (get a programmer)
-Check RTC crystal

You mentioned you're using PC133 SDRAM (2 sticks?)...what make / model (pic would help). Did you try any other PC100 or PC133 ?

Your best option in my opinion is to flash the ROM chip.

This is almost certainly a capacitor issue... My 6BXC 2.0 as well as most I've seen come with Sanyo capacitors for the VRM. In the photo you posted, I see capacitors with a honeycomb-shaped vent (possibly "Hermei" brand?)...

Those capacitors will fail without any outward signs and will prevent the system from booting.

Change the VRM caps.

IIRC Choyo might also be using that honeycomb vent. I recall seeing them on a IBM OEM GA-6WMMC7 I had.
