hi everyone.
i finally got around to testing all my old simms using the original 30 pin simcheck with the 72pin unit attatched by ribbon cable. this is an earlier unit with the power cable soldered in and not removable.
first question is - i have a small pile of 30 pin simms that causes the led to turn red as soon as i pulg it into the socket. according to the manual this indicates current leakage, but the simms in question are all identical. is this a legitimate error or does it have to do with the way the simm was made?
second question - when hooking up the 72 pin module for testing do i have to hook up a power adapter to the 72pin unit or does the power from the original unit cross over? the manual is kind of confusing on this point.
thanks
