So, for reasons of...mainly PC build eccentricity, I'd like to build something with modern-level performance and a working 5.25 drive. It's pretty easy with X58 boards - Gigabyte boards and others work with a 6-core Xeon for decent performance, but the system is held back by stuff like lack of AVX. I've begun another build with the Asrock Z68 Extreme4, and it has a floppy header, but I can't tell if it supports 5.25 drives? I've seen elsewhere that it did, but it's possible I was mistaken? The only more powerful board I'm aware of is the Asrock Z77 Extreme6, which gets PCI-E Gen 3 and a few other enhancements, alongside Fat1ty branding. But does that support a 5.25 drive either?
