I just acquired an Olivetti M6 460 (rebranded as DECpc 433dx MT) and it does not come with the 256kb L2 cache module.

Looking around on the web I cannot find any other machine which have this stick, leaning me to believe it was not included as standard, but as an option from Olivetti.

You can see it missing in the slot right next to the ISA raiser slot on TRW:

Does anyone have this stick and can share some pictures/information?

Could it be one of these? I see Olivetti is mentioned, but DEC...

It's definitely a 128-pin 486 cache module. Probably the same used in the Olivetti M6-520/540/560

Makes theretroweb description erroneous. theretroweb Cache database is lacking 🙁
- cant search by cache options
- no info about cache type (L1, L2, L3)
- no info about cache tech used [SRAM, SYNC BURST]
- no info about cache location [chipset, soldered on-board, DIP, slot type]
- no info about cacheable ram size
- cache info is limited to sizes, doesnt list 0 as an option. For example this Olivetti M6 should list [0, 256KB]
- minor nitpick are obvious errors like for example https://theretroweb.com/motherboards/s/acer-s10m 'no cache' when you can clearly see large 512KB SYNC BURST chip + TAG ram

When it comes to Olivetti TiBo is your man. He has few videos on M6-460 and even he, the Olivetti aficionado doesnt have L2 for this machine https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kR7wxJSayN4&t=932

Yeah, I saw that video and noticed he was missing it as well. I have acquired the configuration software in English language (pi1ud108.zip). It was in Deksor's excellent archive of the xxxxx-drivers.com pages.
