VOGONS

Through digging around various fix solutions and asking on reddit, I've managed to get a working version of Lego Island on my Windows 11 pc with the use of Rebuilder, a patch to fix the crash on exit, and dgvoodoo. But it seems a bit hard to ask any questions as it seems Rock Raider forums lost half their community years ago and Reddit has very few people to help, I'm stuck with trying to ask here.

Thankfully the big question I have is if I'm running voodoo right. I have the settings all setup and saved and the game seems to run fine but it messes with my desktop's resolution when I launch it so it messes with the windows in the second monitor. Wondering if there's potential settings I'm missing or if that's just how it is. Also the scene transitions in the game seem to be janky as they take awhile and flash rappidly, and I'm trying to see if I can fix or disable that.

Any help or direction is appreciated!

I had played the original game without dgvoodoo2 on Win11 but I don't recall of anything flashing. I manually set a 20FPS frame limiter so that the game behaves as it was meant to.

About your setting, it looks fine.

Yeah, my copy took some modifications to get going properly and to try and get it set to my modern resolution. The transitions are something I want to get fixed, perhaps I should record it to show exactly what it's doing to give an understanding? I also have my fps set to max of 24fps, I'll give it a try to see if 20 will run it better!

Seems to not make a difference, the transitions are still strange. I got a recording to show off what I'm dealing with. Some of the transitions are the normal ones that work fine and other times is just aggressive scan lines taking a bit. Here's a gif for what it usually looks like.

Interesting, it doesn't happen here like this. What does your LEGO.EXE configuration look like?

Apologies for the delayed reply, got busy and forgot to come back here!

For the settings are you wanting the CONFIG.EXE? or the LEGOIsle.exe settings? If it's the former, here's what I have setup.
