Thanks! Seems like these are only specialized banks for musicians, not complete GM patchsets, right?

I don't know or remember much about what is inside these archives. They were shared after I was done tinkering with my RIO daughterboard.
Besides, with the RIO uploading samples is quite slow, so for that one a full GM bank would take ages.

I see those banks are 44,100 khz but i saw yamaha daughterboards compatible for some turtle beach cards i wonder if they supplied 48,000 khz.
Wavebank daughterboards supplied lower latency tonebanks I think someone should come out with a daughterboardd we can load our fav tonebanks onto.

That's right, Wavefront synthesizers are really designed as samplers, they are fully fledged samplers and synthesizers where you can tinker with every aspect of it, in that regard they are well beyond what a Soundblaster + soundfonts or a Vortex + .dls can offer, much much low level and more professional, having said that there's no reason why you can't convert a .dls into a .wfb or .wfp I used Awave studio ages ago particularly to replace the drumkit which in the default Wavefront (VoiceCrystal) have rather quiet drums.

looking for these WFB banks, can anyone share them?

thanks 😀
Seems like in that rar file the two or three .iso files with the wfb are missing, may be it's time to upload them somewhere else

Hey, so I think noone has actually found a later version of WEMP, so here is 1.03. Downloaded from author's website through Wayback Machine, but I haven't tested it yet.
Does anybody happen to have a copy of Speed Patch? The file should be called either speedpat.zip or spt09b11.zip. Archive.org unfortunately doesn't have that program stored.
I've recently acquired a Maui box with all the leaflets, and there's an advertisement for a 4 MB Maui/Tropez GM sample set. I assume this basically "upgrades" the GM patch set to what was on the Rio/Tropez Plus. Maybe someone has this sample set?

Well, I was thinking perhaps if you have a Tropez+ or a Rio daughter board you can use the .wfb that comes with them, if you don´t let me know I can check what I have.
By the way the sound bank was provided by VoiceCrystal a company I think it is still around.

That was also my first thought, but I don't have the card installed in any of my systems right now.
I tried looking into the drivers, and it doesn't look like a full 4MB file is there, the GM_2001.wfb is just 160KB, so I'm not sure it's the actual bank.
Then again, maybe the samples are stored in the ROM? If so, maybe Wavepatch can be used to dump it.
On an unrelated note, I've seen some mentions of a file called maui4meg.zip, but the only link I could trace to it is broken (isn't available on WaybackMachine).

They are. Their "4 Meg General Midi Sound set version 4.1" SoundFont can still be purchased on their website.

I assume the *.wfb from the drivers reference ROM samples, that's why they are just 160 kB large. Yes, I know about VoiceCrystal, but they are only selling SoundFonts, haven't seen any offer for other formats. Someone on Vogons already commented, that these SoundFonts don't sound like the Turtle Beach patches, but I haven't tested it myself.
