Sorry guys, just a quick question, maybe there is someone savvy enough to answer.
On a ASUS X99 -E WS, what the hell is SU1?

Tech support sent me this message (and quit communication)

SU1 IN SHORT.
NO SU1 ON CID

Do you know what this SU1 is?

Further context required, given possible CID (Customer Induced Damage) and their tech support involvement?

SU1 on Asus X99-E WS is Intel DH82031PCH, the platform controller hub.

Indeed, the most important part, well technically the southbridge part which controls pretty much everything the CPU doesn't. (Northbridge is part of the CPU in these platforms)

Wonky PCH is bad juju mon, might want to test all IO and such to find out what part isnt working, might tell you what SU1 is connected to.

Assuming the board is working that is.

This may help.

Yes, Unfortunately there is nothing in pinout that comes close to what they mean by SU1....
What CPU are you trying to use and does the board boot to anything ?

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun

It is a Xeon, but I do not know which cpu used the tech support.
The motherboard is in a bootloop with 00 code.
At least I know what SU1 means and what they mean.
Thank you
