Interesting that it's in an aftermarket beige box case...

You might consider some 3D printed bay covers. There's an abundance of them to be found on Thingiverse and pals.

(Examples)

https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3376146

(for the usual mounting types.)

As for the MHZ display, all it really does, usually, is take the current status of the TURBO button into account, and switch between 2 sets of hard wired/jumpered states, based on that input. It's basically just eye-candy. It not working wont "hurt" anything except your sense of completion. 😜

Iirc you just jumper across each one and one segment lights up when the button is in the correct state.

Try jumping one at a time, then pressing turbo and writing down the result.

I built:
Convert old ASUS ASC boardviews to KICAD PCB!

Dos+Windows 3.11+tcp+vbe_svga auto-install iso template
Script to backup Win9x\ME drivers from a working install

Attaching few more pics. I already retrobrighted front panel, remove rust from tower metal elements and painted it.

The weird thing is that when I try to set "40" with jumpers the "mhz" dissapear. Also I cant set 40 properly , I mean regarding to digit "4"- not all segments are illuminating. Someting was messed up with this lcd.display.
