Today I started the motherboard - Freeway Design FW6400GX/150. chipset - 440GX, AMIBIOS. The keyboard stopped working. In short - it gets voltage, the connections to the IO system are OK. The IO chip itself is very hot, on other mobos it is at room temperature. It's 99% burned.
The chip is PC87309 from National Semiconductor. The question is whether I could use an IO chip from another company, for example ITE or WINBOND. I have a replacement chip - W83877TF (Aopen AX6BC), but it looks like the pinout is different.
