I like the Fractal Designs Focus G cases. Quiet, good airflow, decent cable management, and a couple 5.25" bays.

I do wish they had tempered glass instead of acrylic side panels, but for the price I can't complain too much.

The XP machine looks amazing, what fans are you using and how are you controlling the RGB? 😀

Thank you! The fans are just Corsair 120mm white LED fans (I think ML-120?). They don't have RGB control since they are just static white LEDs.

The RGB for the case lighting are just these cheap RGB LED strips I got from Home Depot. They're controlled by a remote.

Im quite liking the modern window cases with the front and side panels being made of glass.

It allows you to show all that old hardware. The old GPUs seem to lend themselves better to be shown off than their modern counterparts due to the graphics printed on the coolers.

I was looking at a case for my Slot A build and decided to go with Fractal Focus G also. I wanted a compact case for full ATX MBs with preferably two 5.25 external bays and that limits current offerings quite a lot. I also preferably wanted a window for show case builds and couldn’t find any vintage cases from local sales that would have one. Chieftec has few nice options, but they lack windows so that ultimately ruled those out. It is a shame that the window in Focus G is acrylic. It isn’t very scratch resistant and collects dust like crazy, but at this price point you really can’t expect too much.

So I ordered Focus G last weekend. I’m also installing cheap led strips and another white LED rear fan. I also got a 3.5” external bay adapter so I can install a floppy, card reader etc. to one 5.25” bays if needed. For this Slot A I won’t bother, there is simply no need for one, but it is something that is nice to have in place if there is a need for it for some other build if I decide to swap parts at some point.
