I have a PicoGUS and ESS SOLO-1 SC1938 working well in the same box, however I'm unable to get line in working on the ESS SOLO-1.
I have initiated the GUS in various games, see the light blinking, and am able to take the line out cable from the ESS SOLO-1 and plug it into the PicoGUS, and have good music and sound effects. I then run the line out of PG to line in of ESS SOLO-1, and it is not passing through to ESS SOLO-1 out. The SOLO-1 is otherwise working as well, tested in games and SB emulation is working well.
This particular card is a "eDio Hi-Live", purchased very inexpensively from ebay.
I installed the drivers from disk, and then installed the dos drivers found on Phil's site: https://www.philscomputerlab.com/ess-es1938s-solo-1.html
I made the additions in config.sys and autoexec.bat as noted:
Add this to CONFIG.SYS
DEVICEHIGH=C:\SOLO1\ESSOLO.SYS
Add to AUTOEXEC.BAT
LH C:\SOLO1\ESSOLO.COM
SET BLASTER=A220 D1 I5 T4
C:\SOLO1\ESSVOL.EXE /v:10 /l:0 /w:10 /m:0 /c:10 /s:10 /a:10 /p:0
I am assuming the second arguement which is "L" is line in. I have tried that at 0 and at 10, and am unable to get line in passing through to line out.
Any help would be appreciated.
