Which is the top supported CPU for the ECS K7S6A? I've seen a post about taking a resistor out and then it becomes able to take Thoroughbread, but somewhere else said with the top bios it doesn't require the mod? What about mobile Athlons, which ones would work best, which one would be less demanding for the 5v rail?

Main: i3 10100f, rx5600xt, Radeon 7000/SbLive. Dual Win10/Win98 boot.
Retro Win98 PC: Pentium 3 500mhz, Voodoo 2/GF4ti.
MiniPCs: Shuttle XPC SN41G (winXP/98), Iwill ZPC64 (winXP/98), Igel M340C (win7).
And some laptops.

It can take Thoroughbred (130nm) CPU's by default. No need for mods.

If I remember correctly this motherboard allows very low vCore settings. Somewhere in the ballpark of 1.2v.

1.1v to 1.85v in steps of 0.025v... pretty awesome. I've bought an athlon xp-m 2000+ to undervolt.
