Thanks so much for the link I will pursue this. It looks like both ROMs are there and I can tell which is firmware/bios from online pics. Now I will order a programmer looking at an XGecu T48. I have a box of old eproms at home will see if any are 27c256 or order a few. Would probably need an eraser to use my old eproms.

I'm guessing you bought this from that large lot of them on eBay -- I bought the rest.

I've ordered some of the original brackets if you need one. I had to order them in bulk . I think they'll end up being around $15 each.

I just noticed this msg. Yes this was from an eBay seller with quite a few of this same item. I was able to burn the roms, the controller booted its bios but did not like the drive I had connected for some reason (540mb quantum). This drive was working on an adapter isa controller. To be honest put it away and haven't returned to it since it is in my when I get to it pile. I am interested in having a bracket though if you have a spare.
