Hello,

Happy New Year all. It looks like I am having a rollercoaster start. First my M6VLR board bios failed. Then my main retro PC PSU failed. Now my Asus P2B (rev 1.10)doesn't detect PS/2 keyboard using both the PS/2 ports at BIOS. USB keyboard does work. Interestingly the PS/2 keyboard works ONLY when the USB keyboard is also connected. The board traces seem to be fine near the PS/2 ports.Could someone please let me know if you have faced such an issue?

Intel 845GEBV2, Pentium 4 2.4 Ghz, Geforce FX5600 256MB, 512MB RAM, 160GB HDD, Sound Blaster Live! SB0100 - Win 98.

I immediately thought of this P3B-F PS/2 ports stopped working , but the fact that plugging in a USB keyboard makes the PS/2 one work makes me less certain. Still possibly worth reading.

Is a PS/2 mouse also connected ? If so, does booting with only the PS/2 keyboard connected alleviate the issue ?

On connecting both the PS/2 mouse and keyboard, they indeed work. It was the case earlier as well. Seems like a common problem with Asus boards. Thank you.

There are boardviews available for these to figure out what might be wrong.

Or... And it's a much bigger download, kicad +Re: Convert old ASUS ASC boardviews to KICAD PCB!
