I’ve been using CRT for all my retro stuff, VGA monitors and Sony BVM for retro consoles. Today i came accross IPS LCD Eizo S2133 and it seem underwhelmed for me taste.
Is there anything need to be configured on the computer (S3 Virge DX + Voodoo2 8mb) to improve contrast ratio or black level ?
The command prompt text are also not sharp but rather smooth on the edge.

Sorry for the off topic question, how has that Bekant table for IKEA been holding up for you, is it the bigger model? Is it really supporting all those CRTs PCs and everything else, or is there something helping it do so at the back which I'm not seeing? It's the first time I'm seeing it in use for what I was intending to use it for as well..
I'm asking because it seems like the readymade option that most resembles a big custom built T table that I've always used, but I always had my doubts about it being able to support CRTs if they're too close to the edges. Ideally I'd like to make the most of the Bekant's diagonal to set up a 17 inch CRT at its edge, as I like to have them further away than I normally see them around here. Do you think that would be possible, or should I just get a single leg for those basic tables and stick it underneath at the edge? Thanks!
Edit: just learned that the Bekant model has been discontinued, oh well, but at least should give me an idea of what it can take
