I can run this game perfectly but no sounds 🙁( so....
I first configured the sound i think i did it right because there was this test sound after configuration and it worked. Then i start the game and all i hear is bunch of craking and popping noises from my speakers.. help please . I have had the sound work in different dos games through configuration such as. jazz jackrabbit , racemania, .... so i don't know what the problem is help please. Could this be that im running this from mounted iso with daemon tools.. i have the real cd but its so scratched up that my pc wont run it these days. Now i converted the iso to a img/ccd/sub but still the same problem. A strange thing happens in the sound configuration test if you run the test with auto detected settings the first time it works but after that the test fails until you restart the installer. This was because of gravis ultra sound that was auto detected.. it really works on sound blaster but the game sounds/musics still are just my speakers scratching and popping.

1) Don't use Daemon Tools to mount your image. Use the imgmount in DOSBox instead.

2) Disable the Gravis Ultrasound emulation in DOSBox (edit dosbox.conf, set gus=false).

try setting all the rate parameters in dosbox.conf to 44100 (they are on 22050)

So current status: No music but i got sound effects.

Many other users have had this same issue but their solution was that they had iso wich didn't support the music.

Now try to recreate the CD-image as a CUE/BIN pair instead of an ISO-image. Mount the image.cue file with imgmount.

Well i converted from ISO to a img/ccd/sub with UltraISO and it didn't work so i used also bin/cue but still.. I guess i am doing something wrong ill repeat the process.. Thank you for so fast help !

i mount it with imgmount d c:\dosbox\rayman.cue -t iso -fs iso
and run it from the directory MOUNT c c:\dosbox
c:
c:cd rayman
c:\rayman\rayman

Or should i run it from the mounted drive ? and i did it. Didn't help tough it was no sound completely. What could have gone wrong?
The problem is most probably the fact that i converted this bin/cue from a ISO
I'll try now find my original rayman cd and wish it would work! 😁 i have been able to get scratched disks to work through repetition. My halo and wc3 disks installed always to 98 , 99 and then stopped brcause they where scratched up but i just opened and closed the cd drive many times and with a lucky shot i got them to work ; ) took me couple of hours but.. I found my cd pretty fast took about 20 minutes, hopefully ill get it to work.Oh yeah runned from original cd music and everything ! But cant get fullscreen ''video mode not supported''

Yep, you need to re-create it from the original CD. And I have never used the -fs iso option, so I think you can safely drop it.

Better start a new thread on your video problems, and keep this thread to deal with the sound/music problem.
