Anything that's not Nvidia. In the meanwhile, just disable PowerVR's Direct3D HAL (it's a checkbox in the panel). Also that otherwise-useless 3d control center program can do the same thing.
Thats sick because all other Cards i have having issues with DX7 or are too slow 😀
Maybe i just put it in a Pentium MMX System.
It features ET6000 with 4Mb MDRAM.
How rare is this Card ? i never spotted a PCX1 in the Wild.. just the 3Dx or M3D.
Seems back in time you could send your PCX1 in to get a PCX2 with a decent discount.
Its intressenting that this card does not support billinear filtering at all 😉
But in SGL it still looks fine 😀
Unreal running at 1024x768 and you easily can see the lack of filtering 😁

Interesting just from today's point of view. It was very common with the first generation of 3D accelerators.

Yes, for example the Matrox Mystique was very popular with friends at school, but I had already the Voodoo 1, and games like NFS or GLQuake were totally different when played on the Voodoo thanks to bilinear filtering.
Hm i only remember that the matrox 1064sg card was so bad on 3d that enabling software rendering was always the better option.
In my Scovery-211 I can compare RageIIc with PCX1. In Tombraider ATI3DCIF is much slower than PCX1. The PCX1 is rock stable at 30fps, where ATI3DCIF struggles between 15-25 fps, but one single issue remains. The sound stutters on some games when using the PCX1 as a D3D device and then the machine tends to freeze.

Ah do you use PCI Soundcard ?
yes, I can reproduce this issue with MKDD3D. Using the PowerVR as D3D device, the sound hangs after a view seconds.
switching to the rageIIc (82440-driver) everything is OK. switching back to PowerVR, same issue.
I have checked the "special settings" and it seems to be better, if I deselect "2D on 3D" option in the advanced D3D settings,
but this leads to serious isses with black borders around moving objects in MDKD3D, so that's not an option for me.
The problem is, finding the reason for the issue. there are a lot of dependencies here. I don't think the powervr-drivers cause
this. I also don't think the essolo1 causes this.
btw. powervr version does not work either. the colors are wrong: Re: PowerVR Fun Thread

Maybe it’s simply lack of cpu power
Thx. There are some games that have issues with that setup and some where you have to find the correct version.
I now have an MDKPVR-Version that works correct.

Ah nice, would you share your results in a Table ?
Which Game works with Which Driver Version etc.
Thats interesting me too..
I have pcx1, and try tomb raider pcx1 version, but results only black picture.
Maybe problem is, i try with pure DOS?
The ultimate race working, but Monster Truck Madness 2 not. This with rendition set to rendition work good, but with powervr choosed at race drop me to desktop.
Will be fine, when somewhere findable infos can we get about compatibility.
